CLASSIC DISNEY PROJECT

The goal of this project is to document the main voice-cast members of each of Walt Disney's classic animated films from the 1930s through the 1970s.

The main objectives of this project are to...

1) Create a profile for each cast member.
2) Write a fun and accurate biography for each profile.
3) Source each profile as thoroughly as possible.
4) Connect each profile to the Big Tree.

If you'd like to join us on this project, please post a comment here on this page or in G2G using the project tag Classic_Disney, send a private message to the project manager, or simply hop in and start contributing as you see fit!

Walt Disney's Profile

Note: Walt Disney did not provide voice credits for his earliest animated features. He believed that identifying the actors behind the characters would diminish the film's magic. Thus, the cast lists presented here for Snow White, Pinocchio, Dumbo and Bambi, have been recreated using various online resources and may be incomplete. Later films generally include credited cast members only, as claims of uncredited performers are difficult to verify.

I've been debating which profile to tackle next, so why not Ginny's? Her father was born in Wisconsin in 1901, so not the same man, but could be a relative. I'll start work this week so check back periodically.

Thanks! Oh, I saw that in some online tree Ginny's grandfather Erlandson was born in *Norway*, so he's not something for me anyway.

Ginny Tyler, Erlandson-73, has a father Erland Alfred Erlandson (according to for example Wikipedia). I have just created the profile Erlandsson-168 for a Swedish emigrant with that name. He would be 72 years old when Ginny was born though, so possible but maybe not probable. But I think the name Erland is used a lot in this family so I still think it's a relation. (This Erland had brothers who emigrated as well.)

If you can look up Ginny's father and we can get these connected I'll work a bit on the Swedish ancestors afterwards.
