1811 - Marriage settlement made between James Short of Newtown, Elizabeth Short otherwise Hunt his wife (one part) and Vere Dawson Hunt of Cappa, William Short of Clermont and Revd John Hunt of High Park (other part). Mention of Fitzmaurice Hunt. Witnesses inc James Short Jnr of Newtown and Revd John Short (should read Hunt, I think).[3]

1811 - William Short of Clermont Co Tipp and John Short his only son (1st Part), Richard Steele of Kyle Queens Co and Anna Steele daughter (2nd) and John Hawksworth of Forest Lodge - re intended marriage of John and Anna - re Ballyvandron of which Wm Shortt is seized, Cloghane, Latera, also Grange Co Tipp. and Ballyfinlohan in Co Limerick. Witnesses inc John Short Jnr. [4]

1813 - Most Noble Richard Marqs Wellesley (1st), Whites (inc John Dawson White of Lisowen), Tipp (2nd) and William Shortt of Clermont, Tipp, eldest son and heir at law of John Shortt formerly of Pallas, Tipp (3rd), other Whites inc Catherine White otherwise Hunt, wife) (4th) ... Lady Caroline Damer of London - re lands in Killanura and elsewhere. Also Longford, Monagarref Co Tipp.[5]

1816 - William Sargent of Clonmel (1st part), William Short of Claremount and Mary Short (dau) (2nd part) and John Shortt of Pallas and Henry Sargent (3rd part) re marriage of Mary to William Sargent of Millview Clonmel re Drumcalk, Upper Ormond.[9]

1817 - Vere Dawson Hunt of Cappagh (1st part), Henry Davis Hunt of Limerick (2nd part), Fitzmaurice Hunt of High Park (3rd part). Said Vere, Henry and Fitzmaurice, the three only sons of Vere Hunt formerly of Cappagh decd., and William Short of Clermount are the trustees in the marriage settlement of Vere Dawson Hunt dated 21/1/1802. Mention of Ballysinode.[10]

1840 - Francis Kittson of Ennistimon, Inspector of Police and Mary Kittson otherwise Shortt, his wife (1st part), John Shortt of Pallas and Michael Harty of Nenagh (2nd part), said John Shortt and Richard Calcutt of Ennistimon (3rd part). Refers to 8/11/1838 deed made previous to marriage of Francis and Mary between Francis (1st part), Mary (2nd part) and John Shortt and Michael Harty which refers to 21/12/1811 deed (see details above) between William Shortt of Clermount and John Shortt his then only son, Richard Steele of Kyle and Anna Steele his wife, John Hawksworth all since deceased and Richard Steele of Knockfinn, re Ballyyandron and Cloghane and trust in case of marriage of daughter or daughters of John Shortt and Anne Steel. These children were William Shortt, Elizabeth Shortt, Richard Shortt, William Shortt the Younger, Anne Shortt and Mary Kittson party to this deed. William, Elizabeth and William the Younger died under age. John Shortt the elder and Anne Shortt otherwise Steele his wife have since died. Michael Harty replaced by Richard Calcutt as Co-Trustee with John Shortt of Pallis.[11]
