A coat of arms for John Endicott?

The Wikipedia entry for Gov John (Endicott) Endecott (abt.1588-1665) includes a coat of arms based on Crozier's General Armory : A Registry of American Families Entitled to Coat Armor.^[1] Unfortunately, Crozier is not considered a reliable source for identifying heraldry. Since John Endicott's parentage is unknown, it doesn't seem possible to claim any sort of crest or coat of arms. If there is evidence of Governor Endicott using a coat of arms during his lifetime, that should be noted. As of now, however, this does not seem to be a legitimate coat of arms.
