The goal of this project is to create a genealogical picture of the Collins, Coffees and possibly Bissells that were present in colonial Pennsylvania, before (and after) it became a state. I think they might have come to colonial America from Denmark or Ireland. They are not listed as Pennsylvania founding families. I'm not sure if they came on Penn's ships. They might have had a presence in Chester county/Philadelphia and the Dutch West Indies. They were in Philadelphia during the drafting of the Constitution..

Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done. I'll be working on them, and could use your help.

  • Gain records from the Pennsylvania Genealogical Society
  • Gain access to genealogy records
  • Touch bases with people who have this ancestry

I can't wait to hear from you!
