David, for the list of Parishes, I would suggest adding Old Pallas (Pallas Graen (Green)). Ballynaclough Townland along with several other Townlands in the Old Pallas Parish include many of my ancestors on several sides of my family. The list does include Oola for which I can submit names from several different Townlands.

Hi Miriam, and thanks for your input. Changes in name and common usages can all be shown on the Parish category or the spaces we will be creating for the Parish that gives further information. The name that we use for the Parish has to be that used in Townlands.ie, unless it is obviously wrong. There are mechanisms we can use on the category to page backwards and forwards between official name changes.

I hope that as a member of the Galway team you will be able to use your local knowledge to make the category/space pages useful and informative to others.

Hi Sharon

There are two categories for County Cork which need to be amalgamated, one called County Cork and the other County Cork, Ireland.

As none of the other county categories include "Ireland", would you please change the category this free-space page is in to Category:County Cork ?

Thanks

Maryann
