General John McPherson (1756 - 1806) was the owner of several plantations in South Carolina. Low Country Africana has transcribed the estate inventory of John McPherson, made (following his death at sea) in December of 1806, which lists enslaved ancestors at Laureum, Pine Comfort, Cotton Hall and Heneka Hill Plantations in Prince William Parish, Beaufort District, and Newton on Pon Pon in Colleton District, SC.
Enslaved ancestors from Cotton Hall and Heneka Hill Plantations were listed together. They were listed by families and in groups that may have been extended families.
