To ensure that important issues aren't missed, this page has been set up to record points raised by Working Party members in Discord discussions.

Points will not necessarily be structured, but as discussions progress, the issues will be collated into groups as we develop our thinking.

1. Counties missing from the location table

2. Not strictly counties but new 'County' should probably be added for continuity of ownership

3. Important variations to include significant locations
   1. Add Durham, England to County Durham
   2. Add East Sussex and West Sussex to Sussex
4. Need discussion
   1. Yorkshire - in the Locations Table there are separate locations for Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, West Riding of Yorkshire that probably need grouping together under Yorkshire
   2. Merseyside, Tyne and Wear, Greater Manchester (and possibly others) - should they all be separate counties with a suggestion generated if they are used for pre-1974 locations?
   3. Middlesbrough - is a separate location in the table
   4. Bristol - is a separate location in the table - part of Gloucestershire
   5. Channel Islands - is a separate (England) location in the table - remove
   6. Isle of Man - is a separate (England) location in the table - remove
   7. Pitcairn Islands - is a separate (England) location in the table remove
5. Review of Eng - Canada cleared

Communication notes to be drafted by SW - done.

1. New counties to be checked when database is available (probably 11 or 12 Oct)
2. Check headline count formula with Ales - not Ales ..... now under discussion
3. Sort Isle of Wight
4. Can old stats be replicated in Data Doctors customised reports? Ales - what about large counties? - unneccesary
5. Need policy decision from Leadership team about England Project Guidelines (Ian)
6. Adding the equivalent abbreviation as ‘Lancs. England’ for the other ‘shires’ - numbers too low - 1000 threshold

1. What do columns mean in Location Table and how do they work?
2. Add Data Doctors help page so people understand where stats come from and how to run eg Isle of wight queries. See Comments on 'launch” page
3. Process/project to pick up current England profiles that will be lost in new system

Phase 2

1. Adding large cities and towns such as ‘Manchester, England’ . Ales has produced a table showing location names that are not yet being allocated to counties, but which would be allocated if added to the Location Table. Note that the town/city must still be followed by ‘England’ (to avoid picking up e.g. Manchester, New Hampshire, United States). The table is in Appendix 3 of this note with the locations with the greatest number of instances at the top.
2. Need to check that all Unitary Authorites in this table are covered by our approach - See WR comment re Cleveland and Humberside
