Cushetunk was a Connecticut settlement in New York State, near what is Cochecton, NY, today. This settlement "based their land claim on the contention that Connecticut had been granted lands west of the Delaware in the seventeenth century. These lands were also claimed by William Penn, not to mention the Lenape and Iroquois."[1]
