In the 1841 Census St Anne Limehouse, London, David gives his age as 40

In the 1851 Census All Saints Poplar London David gives his age as 53

and states he is from Scotland Kincardinshire.

There are two possible dates for David Drimie's birth

given that he states in the 1851 census he comes from Kincardine Scotland

and gives his age then as 53 .............

The Scottish records show two possible David Drimmies

1811 David Drimmie born to David Drimmie and Elizabeth Nicol at Inch Fettercairn

However on checking 1841 census returns we find him in Fettercairn

with his parents and siblings, his death is recorded in 1842 Fettercairn

1787 David Drimmy born to David Drimmy and Elizabeth Bruce St Vigeans.

which would make his age at marriage 48 and birth in Angus,

(St Vigeans is in the county of Angus) Scotland.

This David's sister Margaret 1786 was born in Kincardineshire

as were his parents and also their place of marriage.

So could be that he thinks he's from that county

Or stayed there before heading to London.

Name spelling Drimmy should be Drimmie,

his father is born Drimmie and siblings also.

So 1787 David Drimmy (Drimmie) born to

David Drimmy (Drimmie)and Elizabeth Bruce

at St Vigeans Scotland is the only David to fall within the time frame

he fails to appear in any Scottish census or death records and

we can assume he is our man.
