Suggestion 609 Wrong character in birth location

Description of Error - 609: Wrong character in the Birth Location field.

In the Birth Location field, there is unusual character that is normally not used in describing a geopolitical location (the country).

Content of info column: Wrong and correct character and country where this error is common. There is also Correct button where wrong character is automatically replaced by correct one. It corrects also other fields if wrong character error is present. This button uses Special:MergeEdit page of WikiTree to perform quick edit

Possible Causes

This usually happens with imported gedcoms, where the gedcom file was exported with wrong character.

Action Steps

Correct misspelled character. You can find correct spelling in info column of the report.

Error Status

For each Error you can set status. You can set it as Corrected, Not corrected, False Error, Proposed merge or just add a Comment.

If there are related errors for the profile, you will also see them on status page.
