File: C:\Users\xxxxx\Documents\Family Tree Maker\Edited-for-Privacy Family History Media80 United States Federal Census-59.jpg. 1880 United States Federal Census. The part with "United States Federal Census-59.jpg. 1880 United States Federal Census. Year: 1880; Census Place: Louisville, Winston, Mississippi; Roll: 669; Family History Film: 1254669; Page: 5A; Enumeration District: 021; Image: 0204." is actually a great source and should not be removed. When there's a file reference like this, is it not better edit out the "C:\Users\.... " part and convert the useful part to a source citation?
Thanks for considering this.

That is a good idea to save the source part to use to find the linkable source. In this example, the 1880 United States Federal Census. Year: 1880; Census Place: Louisville, Winston, Mississippi; Roll: 669; Family History Film: 1254669; Page: 5A; Enumeration District: 021; Image: 0204 could be saved and then searched for in FamilySearch to replace with the active link for that record.
