The Parentage of Miranda (Richmond) Dimond (abt.1794-abt.1860)

(I have hit a brick wall on solidifying the parentage of Miranda Richmond. If you can lend any insight on parents, documented facts on her or siblings or dna: Please contact me directly at: patricia@4gibson.us)

The book, taken as bible, written in 1794 by Joshua Bailey Richmond list six children for Jonathan Oliver Richmond (1756-1807) and Amarillis Chambers-841. It also states “He had a large family.” Thus leaving room for more children, who were unlisted. ((Richmond, Joshua Bailey. The Richmond Family, 1594-1896 (privately published, Boston, Massachusetts, 1897) Page 59: https://archive.org/details/richmondfamily1500rich/page/138/mode/2up))

"JONATHAN RICHMOND 6 (EphraimS, Silas 4, Samuel 3, John 2 , John 1 ) was born in New Milford, Conn., January 20, 1756. He married, August 14, 1779, Amarilles Chambers of Newton. He removed, about 1799, to Canada, but during the war of 1812 he returned with his family and settled in Western New York. He had a large family." (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Richmond-355)

Children :
2044. Thomas Chambers', born March 30, 1780, in Woodbury.
2045. Sarah Anne 7, born April 4, 1782, in New Milford.
2046. Aurille', born Dec. 28, 1783, in New Milford.
2047. Annis7, born April 25, 1786, in New Milford.
2048. Pauline 7, born June 13, 1788, in New Milford.
2049. Laura 7, born Nov. 19, 1790, in New Milford.

Jonathan and Amarillis lived in Connecticut, Vermont, and Canada. At the time Vermont was not yet a state and was a territory disputed between NY and NH. It is difficult to track down legal documents from this time period.

In addition to the six children listed above, I have found three additional Children:

1.Miranda Richmond 1794-1860Looking for documented proof
2.Oliver D Richmond 1798- Marriage certificate lists both parents by name
3.William Henry Richmond 1799-1884DNA connection

Many of these offspring ended up settling near each other in Portage, WI, which would lead credence to them being related, both to each other and descendants of Jonathan Richmond:

William Henry: is living there as of the 1855 WI state census for Stockton, Portage, WI
Oliver  : is living there as of the 1855 WI state census for Stockton, Portage, WI
Miranda: is living there as of the 1860 Federal Census for WI: Stockton, Portage, WI, as is her daughter Francis Lytle.

DNA In looking at DNA connections… I have 15 matches to the 24 grandchildren of Jonathan and Amarallis. Only 2 of the original 6 offspring, Aurelia and Pauline, are known to have children and I DNA match to both lines. Of the 5 Offspring who bore children, my connection is as follows: 1. Aurelia: Had 6 children and I have DNA connections to 4 of them. 2. Pauline: Had 8 children and I have DNA connections to 3. 3. William Henry: Had 7 children and I have DNA connection to 3. 4. Miranda Richmond (My ancestor): Had 6 children and I have DNA connection to six of them.
