INSTRUCTIONS

1. Click "Add New Thing" from the "Add" pull-down menu top right of any page
2. Copy everything below the red line while in edit mode DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING
3. Paste what you copied in the Text Field (bottom box)
4. Top blank space NAME of the Sub-Project
5. Time Period fill in if relevant (have to use numbers - can't put present for example)
6. Location: Put geographic location if relevant
7. Surnames: add if relevant
8. Save page
9. Go to the project page
10. Add the page to the list under DNA Project Sub-Projects
11. Add profile links to your new space page by listing under profiles
12. Add space page link to each profile you add to your new space page
13. Contact a leader for help if you need it. We are happy to assist you!

Project Mission

The DNA Project is a simple way to organize those of us who are interested in how WikiTree can integrate DNA test results on the limbs we share on WikiTree, as well as finding ways to expand the use of genealogical DNA on WikiTree. Project members take primary responsibility for performing project tasks and helping members with DNA related questions, offering assistance as needed.

How to Join

To join the project:

1. Answer our welcome thread on G2G and we'll get you set up with a badge and information.
2. or you can ask Kitty for a project badge
3. Click here for G2G conversations tagged "DNA" and follow the tag.
4. add yourself to the Google+ group
5. Check out the the Project Task list below to find something to help us work on, and add yourself (or ask one of us to) to that task.
