Research Note
Another great findagrave memorial. In family search there are three different birth places for Daniel: Pennsylvania, Delaware and North Carolina. In the Duck Creek MM record of Delaware gives his parents' marriage there. On the history part of the Tombstone it says that they came to North Carolina in 1753. Therefore, knowing that colonial Pennsylvania was associated with Delaware (Delaware was officially "the 3 lower counties of Pennsylvania" but administered separately), one can conclude that he was born where his parents were married (i.e., Duck Creek, Delaware) in 1745, before they moved to North Carolina in 1753.[4] The tombstone has a list of their children and the names of their spouses.
