History
A large undulating site on the banks of the Manning River, with inscriptions dating from as early as 1848, Dawson River Cemetery is the only cemetery in the area with a designated lawn area. It also has several columbarium walls and gardens for the placement of ashes and memorials.The Dawson River Cemetery is located off Lansdowne Road, 9kms north of Taree.
The Dawson River Cemetery occupies a large undulating site by the river. It succeeded earlier cemeteries at Taree and displays inscriptions dating from as early as 1848.
