This indenture made this twenty first day of July in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty between Ann alias Nancy Jester and Andrew P. Jester and Eliz Ann his wife of the one part and John Brown and Danforth Brown of the other part of the town of Wellsburg in the County of Brooke in the State of Virginia witnesseth that the said Ann alias Nancy Jester and Andrew P. Jester and Eliza Ann his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to them in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is herby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these presents to grants bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said John Brown and Danforth Brown their heirs and assigns forever a certain lot or parcel of land situate lying and being in the town of Wellsburg aforesaid and bounded as follows to wit beginning at the intersection of Charles and Liberty Streets corner lot numbereded one hundred and four, thence with the east side of Charles Street South fifty feet thence by a line parallel to Liberty Street eastwardly 110 ft. 6 inches to an alley thence with the west side of the said alley fifty feet to Liberty Street then with the South side of Liberty Street to the place of beginning a fractional part of lot numbered on the plat of the said town one hundred and four subject to a yearly quit rent of seventy one cents payable on the first day of January in each and every year to the legal representative of Henry Prather deceased with libery of reenty and seisure in ease of the non-payment thereof as is stipulated in the orginal deeds of conveyance for this and other lots in the said town.

It is herby delared to be expressly understood between the parties to these presents that the said John Brown and Danforth Brown their heirs and assigns shall by virtue hereof hold and enjoy a joint property with the parties of the first part in and to the North end wall of the brick building now occupied by the said parties of the first part to the depth of nine inches.

To have and to hold the hereby granted premises with the appurtenances to the said John Brown and Danforth Brown their heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use subject to the yearly quit rent above mentioned . And the said Ann alias Nancy Jester and Andrew P. and Eliza Ann his wife the hereby bargained premises with the appurtances to the said JOhn and Danforth their heirs assigns against them and the said Ann alias Nancy Jester and Andrew P. Jester and Eiza Ann his wife and against all persons whosover shall and will by these presents forever warrent and defend.

In Witness whereof the siad Ann alias Nancy Jester and Andrew P. Jester and Eliza Ann his wife have hereunto set their hands and seal the day and year first above written.

The word their heirs and assigns between the 11th and 12th lines were interlined before signing the the words 'alias Nancy' whenever the occur are also addmited in the same manner. - Nancy Jester

In the clerks office of Brooks County Court 26 day fo July 1830 personally appeared before me clerk of the said court Andrew P. Jester a party of the foregoing deed and ackknowledged the same to be his act and deed and desired that it might be recorded and the same is thereupon admitted to Record. John Connell C/JC

Brooke County [...] We Andrew Henderson and George Parkinson Justices fo peace in and for the County aforesaid in the State of Virginia do hereby certify that Eliza Ann the wife of Andrew P. Jester parties to acertain deed bearing date on the 21 day of July 1830 and hereunto annexed personally appeared before us in our County aforesaid and being examined by us privately and apart from ther husband and having the deed aforesaid fully explained to her, She the said Eliza Ann acknowledged the same to be her act and deed and delared that she had willingly signed sealed and delivered the same and that she wished not to retract it.
