Abstract

Robert Luckett’s share of land from the estate of Benjamin Luckett sold to Thomas Luckett. Robert and Thomas are two of Benjamin Luckett's children.

Cissell & other Comms. of B. Luckett to Thos Luckett
This Indenture made & entered into this 16th day of Dec 1839 between Raphael & Cissell Willis G Hughes Thomas S Chapman Commissioners appointed by the County Court of Union county to convey unto the heirs & other persons entitled thereto their several interests in the land of Benjamin Luckett des’d as divided surveyed & bounded in the report of Commissioners appointed by said Court to divide the lands of Benjamin Luckett des’d amongst his children & heirs of the one part and Thomas Luckett of the County aforesaid and State of Kentucky one of the children & heirs of said Benjamin of the other part Witnesseth that whereas said Thomas child & heir of said Benjamin Luckett des’d and as such being entitled to one undivided tenth parts of said Benjamin’s estate & having bought the interests of Robert & Maria Luckett children and heirs of said Benjamin the parties of the first part for & in consideration of the promises & the further consideration of one dollar paid by said Thomas the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained sold & conveyed and by these presents do bargain sell & convey unto the said Thomas Luckett the part piece or portion of land laid off & marked No. 2 in said Commissioners report described and bounded as follows to wit Beginnning at 3 gums on the on the bank of Casey’s Creek & running thence S58E 183 poles to a mulberry oak & two dogwoods corner to the hundred & sixty acre tract thence S32W 55 poles to a stake thence N58W 100 poles to an elm on the banks of Casey’s Creek thence with the meanders of said Creek to the Beginning containing one hundred & five acres To have & to hold the above described parcel of land together with all & singular the the appurtenances thereinto belonging or in anywise appertaining to the said Thomas Luckett his heirs & c to his & then only proper use benefit & beberof forever
In testimony whereof the said Raphael T Cissell Willis G Hughes & Thomas S. Chapman as Commissioners as aforesaid have hereinto set their names & affixed their seals the date hereof is the day & year first above written.

At a County Court holden for Union County at the Courthose in Morganfield on the 16th day of December in th year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & thirty nine this deed from Raphael T Cissell Willis G Hughes & Thomas S Chapman Commissioners on behalf of Benjamin Luckett’s Heirs to Thomas Luckett was acknowledged in open court by the said Raphael T Cissell Willis G Hughes & Thomas S Chapman Commissioners as aforesaid to be then act & deed &which deed was by the Court ordered to be recorded.
