This indenture made this twenty sixth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eleven, Between Alexander Caldwell and Eliza his wife in the county of Ohio and the State of Virginia of the one part and David Jester of Brooke County and the State aforesaid of the other part Wittnesseth that the said Alex' and Elisa for and in consideration of the sum of Eight hundred dollars to them in paid he receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold enfee of released and confirmed and by these presents as grants bargain sell enfee of release and confirm unto the said David Jester and his heirs and assigns all them four lotts and premises with the appurtenances situate lying and being in Charlestown in the in the county of Brooke aforesaid, and bounded as following to wit, on the North by Liberty Street on the East by Yankey Street on the South by an alley on the west by Water Street, and are known and distinguished on the General platts of said town now in record in the clerk's office of said County of Brooke, by the numbers 103, 104, 143, 144 the said lotts being however liable to and chargeable with the annual ground and other reservations as is in the originall deed of conveyance stipulated for the lotts in said town _ they are the same lotts of land where were Charles Prather the then propriator of said town conveyed to George White and by the heirs of said White to Josias Perry and John Connell and by the said Josias and John to Lamuel Tallman who conveyed the same to James Perry; and by the said James by deed of bargain and sale bearing date the Sixteenth day of March Eighteen hundred and eleven, heere conveyed to Alexander Caldwell the presente grantor referance to the aforesaid Deeds of conveyance now of record in the before said County of Broke well more fully and at large appear - to have and whole the above described four lotts of ground and premises with the appurtenances unto David Jester and his heirs and assigns forever, to the only proper use and behoof of the said David Jeser and his heirs and assigns forever and the said A. Caldwell and Elisa his wife for themselves and their heirs and assigns that they the said Alex and Elisa the above discribed four lotte and premises with the appurtenances to the said David Jester and his heirs and assigns shall and will warrants and forever defend against all persons and claims whatsoever, except the rents aforesaid - In testimony whereof the aforesaid Alexander Caldwell and Eliza his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written. Brooke County March term 1811 The foregoing is a true copy from the orginal deed ack'D in court at this term by A Caldwell party grantor herein named and ordered to be recorded.

At a Court hold for Brooke county on Monday the 1st day of June 1812 Eliza Caldwell wife of Alex Caldwell came into Court and acknowledged the within deed and being privately examined declared that she did freely and [... ...] execute the same and wished not to subtract it, which is ordered to be certified to the county of Brooke County.
