The book, thank you Laura Lee Moncref for sharing the family letters with us. FROM/TO "Daniel Delph and Margaret to Sary Rimer and Jacob"

THIS even made my very "documented" Cuz' Robert Goode a believer as to his

NEW GRANDFATHER.......just because of the family letters...

I had already shown him that Daniel Delph was living in the same neighborhood, GRAYSON COUNTY, :VIRGINIA, that Jacob/Sarah Rimer were living in for several decades, until Daniel moved to Hawkins :County, TENNESSEE.. and then they too moved to that neighborhood just before her father's death in :Hawkins County, Tennessee.

The only thing about this beautiful book is: she did NOT TRACE my DELPH-RIMER-MANIS family... The book ends for us at the tiny bit of info on Martha Rimer, daughter of Jacob/Sarah Delph-RIMER. Laura mentions on page 55-56 that Martha married Albert Manis, which is correct, and then Laura states, "Martha died January 1893 in Pettis County, Tennessee." (but Laura does not give a hint as to where she obtained this date???) All the other data.. matches exactly what I have found for Jacob/Sarah...

The family letters are the biggest PROOF for our MANIS FAMILY (and the DNA tests are there as well)

I THINK I found the proof to show that Sarah Rimer's maiden name was in deed DELPH.........

Her brother, William P Delph joined same day, same place, same Regiment, same Company AND the same SIDE... Rebel's...

as Isaac Rimer, Isaac would be the son of William's sister Sarah Delph and JACOB RIMER...

"The proof of Eve Reichbacher, Daniel's mother is from the family BIBLE." by Carole Conrad 1st) Marriage to Anna Millbank Jan 5, 1798 MadIson County, Virginia, 240 miles from Grayson County. This spouse is in question But the Researchers all agree that Daniel and his UNKNOWN 1st wife had 7 children 2nd) Marriage to Elizabeth BOYER, March 29 1812 Grayson County, Virginia, this marriage is agreed upon by most Researchers. 3rd) Marriage to Peggy COUCH June 13 1813 Grayson COUNTY... Death record for child: Myriam Newberry born 1821 Hawkins County... 1850 census Daniel is age:74 living in Hawkins County, TENNESSEE, with his wife Margaret who was born in N.C...and their 6 (presumed) children ages 12-22 ALL born in Tennessee. This tells us that they lived in Tennessee from at least 1828... July 5, 1860 census Daniel is age:84 living in Hawkins County, TENNESSEE, with his wife Margaret ...and their 5 (presumed) children ages 24-30 + 2 names unknown to this Researcher...ALL born in Tennessee Daniel's Hawkins County, Tennessee WILL, proves WIFE and youngest living son, proved Sept 1860.
