Goals
The goal of this project is to add all names and relationships in the Dolní Lukavice Parish Archives to the WikiTree single family tree using proper sourcing and a complete biography to the best of our ability. This includes adding parents and grandparents mentioned in baptism and marriage records.
This is to help establish connections for brickwall immigrant ancestors to their homeland, create a complete family tree for the Dolní Lukavice parish, and help establish connections to "ghost" ancestors that appear in parishes around the Czech Republic through migrations. Eventually, it is our aim to establish a connection to the WikiTree Family Tree.
There are currently 25 Dolní Lukavice Parish Archives stored at portafontium.eu PortaFontium.eu.
Will you join me? Please post a comment here on this page, in G2G using the project tag, or send me a private message. Thanks!

Guidelines
- There are a list of images on each individual FreeSpace Profile for each individual Dolní Lukavice Archive Book (see the list above). Pick an image to start with, following the link in the source to the corresponding image scan.
- Check the list of indexed in individuals on the individual parish village page (from village list above) to make sure that you do not create a duplicate profile. Add the individuals mentioned in each record with appropriate relationships, all with proper citation information. See [this profile] for an example. If an age is given, put an approximate year in the birth date box. For a citation example, see below:
- When an individual is finished, add their WikiTree ID to their individual book page number where found, for a running index of people recorded, and also under the house number the person is living, at the time of the event being recorded, located on the village page. A list of individuals will be updated in the surname spreadsheets on a quarterly basis.
- If there is any uncertainty in the names of an individual, please post in G2G for assistance, while also leaving a comment on the FreeSpace Page under that page number. Skip this person and go to the next.
- If possible, include cropped images to sources where applicable: Children, for baptisms; Husband and Wife, for marriages; Deceased, for death/burials. This is to prevent profile cluttering. Properly caption these images with: Dolní Lukavice [Book Number], Page [#], Image [Number]. Accessed [Day Month Year].
Profile Structure
Please include the following structure, using the appropriate amount of "=" before and after each heading/sub-heading, to make it clear what is missing from each profile for further editing. Fill in as much information as possible when creating a profile.
In instances where the person or spouse is an illegitimate child, use the template for listing parents as:
- [Person] was born [on/about] [date] as an illegitimate [son/daughter] to [Mother’s Name], the daughter of [Father’s Name] and [Mother’s Name], [in/most likely in] [Village Name]. They were baptized on [Date] also in [Village Name] [In Line Citation]. The sponsors of the baptism were [Sponsors and Their Information].
- If legitimized by marriage at a later date, please include that information.
- On [Date], [Person] married [Spouse], the [illegitimate son/daughter] of [Mother’s Name], daughter of [Mother’s Father] and [Mother’s Mother], in [Marriage Village].
Add children from illegitimate, and later legitimized, relationships under their Illegitimate name for LNAB and with the legitimized name as their current surname.
The following may be copy and pasted and used as a template for each profile.
