Upton could not find this baptism ... wrote, "did find an indexed reference to the baptism of a Thomas Goodenow, son of Edmund and his wife Anne on 26 November 1637 at Donhead St Mary, Wiltshire. That’s the name of a village whose parish church (Church of England) was dedicated to St Mary. It’s next to another village called Donhead St Andrew. I consulted the Wiltshire Parish Register and Bishop’s Transcripts collection on ancestry.com for this information. This particular item comes from the BT for Donhead St Mary. He must have died shortly thereafter, as his will was probated 5 April 1664."
