Surnames/tags: Drehidtrasna Drehidtarsna Limerick
Introduction
Drehidtrasna Churchyard surrounds a very dilapidated Church Of Ireland church that presumably was the parish church at one time. The townland of the same name is in the civil parish of the same name although officially the name is Drehidtarsna. The name used on the gravestones is Drehidtrasna and Logainm themselves observe of the townland record that "The meaning of tarsna/trasna is unclear in placenames" indicating that either spelling could be used.
Many of the graves are unmarked or partly marked by piles of stone or are illegible through the ravages of time however the churchyard is still in use, at least up until 2017.
An original architectural drawing of the church and churchyard can be seen here[1]
