Driftwood Akers was the family home and property of Fran Akers and her children, Kerry and Darrell McKinley. Currently the property is occupied and maintained by Darrell McKinley and his wife, Nancy. Located on the shoreline of the Albemarle sound, the property consists of a small yard with the family home and then acres of marshland.
