History

Ebenezer Methodist Church was built around 1880, and included a three story bell tower capped by a squat broach spire. Over the years it fell into bad disrepair and was ultimately torn down to prevent it from collapsing into the highway. Only the cemetery still remains, and, sadly, it too is in very poor condition. But for the work of a nearby farmer, the cemetery would have grown up in weeds long ago and most people would not even notice it as they drove by.
