History

Elizafield Plantation, which later became Boys Estate (inspired by Boys Town in NE), was started by Dr. Robert Grant. Elizafield was a rice and sugar plantation.[1] By 1833 Grant's son, Hugh Fraser Grant had purchased Elizafield Plantation from his father.[2]
