Elmore Cemetery was one of many flooded when Shasta Dam was completed and Shasta Lake filled. The graves there were reinterred at Central Valley Cemetery, now in Shasta Lake, California.

Unclear if just Elmore family cemetery or associated with historical locales; options: "Elmore, a locality 11.5 miles south of LaMoine along the Southern Pacific Railroad, just south of mouth of Elmore Creek - Elmore Creek, flows .5 mile to Sacramento River Arm of Shasta Lake, 11.5 miles south of LaMoine- Elmore Mountain, peak 10 miles south of LaMoine - Elmore Bay, embayment, 10.5 miles south of LaMoine along Sacramento River Arm Shasta Lake - Elmore Valley, flooded by Shasta Lake"[1]

The following is a list of known reinterred graves from the Elmore site[2]

  • Elmore, Dorothy
  • Elmore, Maggie
  • Elmore, Nancy
  • Elmore, Thomas
  • O'Brian, Nellie & Baby
