• As of 1999, Elmwood Cemetery was considered one of two largely Greek-American cemeteries in the Chicago area. There are, of course, several other gatherings including Germans, Swedes, Albanians, Russians, Ukrainians, Bulgarians, Macedonians, Gypsies and Others. ^[1]
• A cenotaph for comedian John Belushi is present in Elmwood Cemetery at Belushi's mother's gravesite. ^[1]
