The goal of this project is to ...
Right now this project just has one member, me. I am Zacharya Busse.
Here is the task that I'll be working on. I'm not finding much success via FamilySearch.org, so I could use your help.
- Finding the ancestry of Emil Busse husband of Minnie Eue, father of several children, including his youngest, Herman Busse, born 1913. Emil married and made his family in Minnesota, and died there in 1918.
- Finding out what happened to Tena Busse, one of Emil's two oldest daughters. The last mention I could find of her shows up when she was 13 at the time of the 1910 U.S. Census.
- Finding out what happened to Emil and Minnie's oldest son, Willie Busse, born in 1900. The last record I could find of him was his WWI draft registration card, showing his family had moved north from Fort Ripley, MN to Pitt, MN by that time.
- Finding out if Willie's younger sister, Frida "Florence" Busse, born in Little Falls, MN in 1904, had any children before she died in Chicago, IL in April of 1932.
- Finding out where Emil's wife, Minnie Eue Busse, and their daughters were during the 1920 census, after Emil's death in 1918 left the family without a breadwinner. This is before Minnie and her daughters Irene, Florence (Frida) and Else (Ella) show up in Chicago on the 1930 U.S. Census. From hearsay, I gather that my grandfather, Herman Busse, and his slightly older brother, Frank Busse, were separated for some years via the orphan trains, before Frank succeeded in finding Herman.
