2023 Notes and Updates

Email - Jul 18 at 8:46 AM Thanks Sandy,
Ive been busy lately... I had 4 more Y-111 DNA hits on FTDNA. 1 was a 4th cousin 4x removed. Two were descendants of John Edwards (d. 1667) of Lancaster County. So ive been tracing those down and found some interesting information. John Edwards of Lancaster County was from the Thomas Edwards Katherine Crosse line!
- LNAB Ref: Cross-7053 Katherine (Cross) Edwards (abt. 1545) - Most likely LNAB = Edwards-5170 ??
Im at work at moment... John was the great grandson of Thomas Edwards and Katherine Crosse. His father was Richard Edwards, mother was Katherine Whitehead. John's grandfather was Robert Edwards and Edwards-5170 Sarah Gore. Finding this out, I need to correct my notes.
Edwards-431 Edmond Edwards (d. 1558) [Waterman] m. Alice Ayre. -William Edwards m Alice Maye -Thomas Edwards -Edmond Edwards (d. 1591) -Catrine Edwards m. Simon Trone
Edmond Edwards (d. 1558) father was John Edwards (d. 1540) and mother was Joan (Johann). It is a possibility that Edmond had a brother, William who Married Alice England.
Im at work at the moment, when I get home Ill look at the the 1540 Will. I had to order these old Wills from Cambridgeshire Archives. They are local Consistory Court Wills.
Best regards, Sean

Hi Sean - haven't heard from you in a while; so, thought I would send a follow re any progress you may have made on Edmond. Are you still working on your paper re this family. I now suspect he is Brother of William Edwards m Alice England and Thomas Edwards m Elizebeth Burgoyne and the Father of Edmond Edwards II, William Edwards and Thomas Edwards. If you can, please add in any marriage info for respective children. Any progress on transcribed will text? I think Edmond II is probably (or may be) the (Riverman) Edmond of the 1558 Will (Alternate name may be "Edmond "Thomas"-- Would really like to see text on this; but can't find a digital copy. At any rate, these s/b ready for your review. Please make changes you feel appropriate - direct to individual profiles.

Hi Sean. Think I have Edmond attachments correct and they should be ready for your review. When you have time please take a look and make corrections if needed. Let me know if any questions, etc. I made a few comments under the profiles themselves - these can be deleted if resolved. If you need a Mgr status on any, use the "trusted List Request under the Privacy Tab. I used "*This Profile Represents XYZ m XYZ (son of XYZ." to keep straight (At beginning of the profile)
Think once you OK we should do a "Restore Point (comment dated w/initial or name) under the Edit /save/Comment section.
Under "Children Section - add name of who married who if you know -- This might help to keep profiles straight and find other profiles not already linked. or to identify merges, discrepancies, etc
Think will text should be added to (any missing) Profiles, if you have -- (or any others if you might have not included) -- Copy of will / Transcription of Will (or at least FHC film Number where it was found, if known) Edwards-431 Edmond - Do you have? 1 Edmond Edwards-431 - Copy/Transcription of 1558 Will (or FHC film Number) m Alice Will? presumed Brother of William Edwards and Thomas Edwards children : 3-4 Identified Children
2. Will of Thomas Edwards-1505 , 4, May 1583; Will of Elizabeth Burgoyne Edwards probate 30 Jan 1593. In both of these Wills, they list two additional children not mentioned in the Visitations: William and Francis Edwards
3. William Edwards-40105 (m Alice England) Alice Will ? Will Text - 4. John Edwards-7561 m Elizabeth Page ?
FYI - For Family consistency, I tried to conform individual profiles to: '*This Profile Represents XYZ m XYZ (son of XYZ. == Adds to ONS Edwards == Adds to Wisebech
