Team Leader roles for the Managed Profiles Team

The England Project Managed Profiles Team (MPT) contains 3 era-defined working groups. Each of these groups has a Team Leader (TL).
The generic qualities of an England Project Team Leader are described here.
Team A: post-1700
The TL will coordinate the workload for this team, which mainly works on the profiles of English notable persons.
They will be responsible for the following:
- Liaise with the other two TLs for the MPT, especially the TL for Team B (1500-1700) as there will be some overlap in workload. The Team A TL reports to the PC(s) of the MPT and ultimately to the England Leaders.
- Allocate profiles and tasks which need work.to the Team A members.
- Ensure the team members are content and engaged with the work.
- Be active on the England Project Google Group, the England Project Discord channels and the MPT Discord group in the England channel.
- Welcome and orientate new team members. Encouraging these new members to stay engaged. Team A may include less experienced Wikitree genealogists who may need more guidance.
- Ensure the work done on England Project profiles is to a high standard, factually accurate and visually attractive.
- Maintain a record on the the MPT spreadsheet of the work done on the Team A profiles
- Run a scan of the England Project 5 Star profiles at least every 2 months and highlight those that require work.
- Identify post-1700 profiles which should be adopted by the EP, entering on the spreadsheet, making the first approach to the PM (if any), badging the profile, reporting to the PC if there is a delay in adoption.
- Collaborate with the County teams and Profile improvements if any of the related profiles also require work.
- Identify profiles which may be featured in the Connection Finders of the week by following the Connection Finders G2G discussion. Alert the MPT team members to any profiles which require improvements before they are featured.
Team B: 1500-1700
The TL will coordinate the workload for this team, which works on the profiles of English notable persons and also profiles of people with tangled and disputed family lines. A lot of the latter group come to the MPT via the Puritan Great Migration project, and good working relationships will need to be maintained with this project.
The TL will be responsible for the following:
- Liaise with the other two TLs for the MPT, as there will be some overlap at each end of the era. The Team B TL reports to the PC(s) of the MPT and ultimately to the England Leaders.
- Allocate profiles and tasks which need work to the team members.
- Ensure the team members are content and engaged with the work.
- Ensure the work done on England Project profiles is to a high quality, factually accurate and visually attractive.
- Being active on the Google Group, and the England Project and the MPT Discord group in the England channel.
- Welcome and orientate new team members.
- Maintain a record on the the MPT spreadsheet of the work done on the Team B profiles
- Run a scan of the England Project 5 Star profiles at least every 2 months and highlighting those that require work.
- Identify 1500-1700 profiles which should be adopted by the EP, entering on the spreadsheet, making the first approach to the PM (if any), badging the profile, reporting to the PC if there is a delay in adoption.
- Be active on G2G, scanning the posts tagged England for questions about tangled and disputed lines. Being pro-active in adopting these profiles and managing the work to resolve the disputes as far as possible without compromising accuracy.
- Collaboratewith the County teams and Profile improvements if any of the related profiles also require work.
- Collaborate across projects with similar interests (PGM, Euroaristo)
Team C: pre-1500
The TL will coordinate the workload for this team, which works on the profiles of medieval English notable persons and also profiles of people with tangled and disputed family lines. A lot of the latter group come to the MPT via the Puritan Great Migration and Magna Carta projects, and good working relationships will need to be maintained with these projects.
The TL will be responsible for the following:
- Liaise with the other two TLs for the MPT, especially with the TL for Team B as there will be some overlap in workload. The Team C TL reports to the PC(s) of the MPT and ultimately to the England Leaders.
- Allocate profiles and tasks which need work to the team members.
- Ensure the team members are content and engaged with the work.
- Be active on the England Project and the MPT Discord group in the England channel.
- Welcome and orientate new team members.
- Ensure the work done on England Project profiles is to a high quality, factually accurate and visually attractive.
- Maintain a record on the the MPT spreadsheet of the work done on the Team C profiles
- Run a scan of the England Project 5 Star profiles at least every 2 months and highlighting those that require work.
- Identify pre-1500 profiles which should be adopted by the EP, entering on the spreadsheet, making the first approach to the PM (if any), badging the profile, reporting to the PC if there is a delay in adoption.
- Be active on G2G, scanning the posts tagged England for questions about tangled and disputed lines. Being pro-active in adopting these profiles and managing the work to resolve the disputes as far as possible without compromising accuracy.
- Collaborate with the County teams and Profile improvements if any of the related profiles also require work.
- Collaborate across projects with similar interests (PGM, Magna Carta, Euroaristo)
- Login to request to the join the Trusted List so that you can edit and add images.
