History

Catlett Campbell lived in Meriwether Co, GA. At his death his estate held at least 3 large tracts of land ^[1]

In the 1820 census Catlell [sic] was in Capt Cooks District, Morgan, Georgia. He owned 4 slaves.^[2]

In the 1830 census Catlett was in Butts, Georgia. He owned 9 slaves.^[3]

In the 1840 census Cattell [sic] was in Meriwether, Georgia, and owned 39 slaves.^[4]

Catlett Campbell had at least 120 enslaved persons when he died.^[1] His will, written in 1862, names the following enslaved persons:^[5]
