  • Durkee said of this work: " From the nature of the American marble, used almost exclusively in this locality, it is certain that in one hundred years a large proportion of the stones from which these inscriptions have been taken will have yielded to the severity of the weather, and be no longer decipherable."

As explained in the NYGBR, Harris and Durkee visited the burial grounds 1873-1876, and made a manuscript bound in five volumes, which is the above source. It was then published in the NYGBR in installments (1913, 1914, 1916, and 1917). I've added all the links I could find. Perhaps there is more?
