Surnames/tags: Ervin Irvine
The goal or purpose of this project would be to piece together the Ervin/Irvine families back to Scotland. The Ervin/Irvine/Irwin lineage originates from Scotland and the first Ervin families came over to the colonies c.1733. The first being James Irvine in Williamsburg, South Carolina. He is said to have had 3-4 brothers he left behind in Scotland who came shortly after James Irvine and settled down in the Pennsylvania area.
Right now this project just has one member, me. I am Bobby Godfrey.
Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done on the South Carolina Ervin side. I'll be working on them, and could use your help.
- Col. Hugh Irvine/Ervin tree (c.1725-1785) needs helps
- Rep. James Ervin (1778) profile need help
- James Irvine children need sorting out
I know that there is an Ervin lineage that stems from the Pennsylvania area and I would more expand this project's focus to include that lineage in hoping that it will lead back to Scotland
Feel free to join me. Please post a comment here on this page, in G2G using the project tag, or send me a private message. Thanks!- Bobby
