My son's paternal lines go back to Major Bailey. He was "owned" by Allen L Bailey at the time of emancipation. Before that he was part of the Thomas E Owen estate, and before that he had been enslaved by Robert Owen. This research traces the network of families and some of the neighbors at one time owning land off of Little River in Wikes County, Georgia.
