Biography

Jemima SAUNDERS was born to Philemon SAUNDERS and Jemima GREER-Saunders. Her MOTHER Jemima Greer was the daughter of Joseph Greer and Ann Lowe-GREER DeMoss.

Ezekiel married his second cousin, Jemima Saunders, in 1813. She was the daughter of Philemon Saunders and Jemima Greer. Ezekiel's and wife Jemima's grandfathers were brothers. Ezekiel was about 18 years older than Jemima. + Jemima Saunders was born to Philemon Saunders and Jemima Greer. Her Mother Jemima Greer was the daughter of Joseph Greer and Ann Lowe DeMoss. -

The 3-SONS described below are the sons of John GREER/ Sarah DAY-GREER-

2. -Benjamin B:1725-27 mar. Rachel LOWE
3. -Joseph B: 1725-27 mar. Ann LOWE-GREER DeMoss

Jemima Saunders married Ezekiel Greer SR. (her 2nd cousin-

jemima's mother's father was Joseph-#3 son/Ann Lowe

Ezekiel SR.'s father was JAMES D. son of Benjamin #2- son /Rachel Lowe

Ezekiel SR.s mother was Elizabeth GREER-GREER daughter of William-#1 :son/Sarah Freeland-GREER

(they had 7 kids, the youngest being Ezekiel 1825 and before the 1830 census Ezekiel SR :passed away. Jemima is listed on that census as "head" of house.)

THIS census was taken about 5 years after Ezekiel Greer SR died, Wife, Jemima was a Widow at this time and then just months later she married Benjamin Harris and moved the family to Kentucky.

Daughter, Lucy Greer, who married Lewis Dillon in 1833.
