Descendants of William Clarkson and Sarah Ann Nicholson who sailed for New Zealand on the "Bolton", arriving in Wellington in 1840. Ten years later they moved south to Lyttelton and most of the immediate descendants settled in Canterbury, notably Christchurch and Timaru.
The 1990 family tree was produced for a family reunion held in Lyttelton that year.
