Surname/tag: First Filipino Battalion
The goal of this project is to gather more info regarding Filipinos who were stateside and volunteered to join the fight during WW2 .Their service went largely unnoticed and few if any commodations. Although these soldiers were key to General McArthurs victories on the Islands.
Right now this project just has one member, me. I am j Cabantoy.
Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done. I'll be working on them, and could use your help.
- Gather a list of those service members
- what their mission was where did they separate
- who among them went to further train in (Australia?) and be first on the front to gather information and pave way for the take down of the Japanese who had control of the Islands at the time.
