For those who don't know, there was a Hollywood movie called "By Love Possessed" in 1961 that used scenes of downtown Fitchburg in the opening credits (the movie itself was filmed on sound stages) including the court house, city hall, and the park across the street from the library. It starred Lana Turner, George Hamilton, Efrem Zimbalist Jr., and Jason Robards. You can buy the DVD fairly cheap, or even watch it on Amazon Prime Instant Video.
