These sites provide access to numerized records for parish registers (baptisms, marriages, burials until 1793) and civil registration records (births, marriages, deaths, divorces) since 1793. Each departement has its own site. Availability changes with each department.
All the sites listed below are accessed free, some of them require the creation of an account (no charge). Most of them require agreement to Terms of Use before access. Please do not post screencaps of the registers, unless you are certain this is allowed. Many sites provide a permalink feature. When using information from the Archives, make sure to cite where it comes from: "Archives du xxx" and the reference, or shelf mark (called "cote" in French) of the register, if available.
