Freckles the Cat

Freckles was picked out by Sarah in March of 2001 from a litter of kittens that was just born by a family friend. As Sarah was young she picked out the cat who looked like the mother, a tabby, but he was the runt of the litter. When the kittens were old enough, Sarah's mother had to decide to take the runt that Sarah chose and the possibility of it dying, or pick another one. She chose to stick with the one that Sarah choose. For about a year he was perfectly fine. One day Sarah noticed that he was acting strangely and he was taken to the vet. He had a urinary tract problem and needed surgery, and after that he needed a special diet to keep him healthy as it could happen again.
He lived a full, happy life with his family. They eventually got a dog named Ginger, whom Freckles was uninterested in for the most part.
