The goal of this project is to bring descendants of Freeman Battershell together.

Right now this project just has one member, me. I am Nicole Johnson.

Freeman is my 5th great uncle. He and his brother John, my 5th great grandfather married Rector sisters and lived in Clark County KY. I have been able to visit the cemetery where Nancy Battershell, Freeman's wife is buried north of Mt. Sterling KY. I was not able to locate the graves during my visit but hope to return to help with clean up efforts and eventually conduct a site survey. There are many Johnson family members buried there, including one on Freeman's daughters, Margarette Battershell Johnson, wife of John T. Johnson. Would be happy to share information. I'm trying to find Freeman, John, and Abigail's graves in KY and am working on SAR membership. Kurt Krouse
