Background

A 5-Star profile is one that has been visited after a Google search and has been visited more than a thousand times. These highly visible profiles are viewed by people who have never seen Wikitree before, and therefore are a first impression for first time visitors to wikitree.

Members of this 5-star Profile Improvers team (part of the Germany project) are wikitree volunteers who help to improve and ensure 5-star profiles are great examples of wikitree.

I would like to join. My Great Great Grandfather AMOS FORMAN, farmer and stock-raiser, section 15, Vermillion Township, was born in Ross County, Ohio, in 1827, a son of Benjamin and Mary (Hines) Forman, natives of Ohio, of German descent. I have hit a brick wall do not know parents of Benjamin Forman. Looking for help in this regard. I found Mary Hines parents was Henry Hines and Hannah Blue. Do not know Henry Hines parents. Forman and Hines families go back to Germany some way. New info on Amos Forman and his parents descendants was obtained about a year ago(2019). This has been a 50 year quest.

I'd like to join. My maternal grandfather's line came from Germany - Kirsch or a derivative of Kirsch. Unfortunately, I've not be able to track down anything beyond when he came to the States. Thanks!
I'm trying to get my pre-1500 badge and my German Project or German Roots project badge. I have a long line of German heritage on both sides.

I would love to help in any way I can. It will enable me to learn even more about my Grandfather's family.

I’ll help! I am new to learning about Germany; I’ve reviewed all the Wikitree material on its categories, but may still have a few questions later.

Hi, I would help to clear the Germany and Deutschland categories of Individual people. At least for a while.
