I was adding sources to unsourced profiles in Ohio. I have no connection (that I know of) to the Gibsons, I'm just pretty good with Cincinnati records. Anyway I came across Molly Gibson (1861-1900) and was sourcing her. It seems she may be the daughter of George Gibson, who founded Gibson Greetings. https://www.jegplastics.com/about/ Wondering if anyone has created a profile for George or knows anything about this family?
There are a number of other marriages in Middleton-in-Teesdale that may instead have been Margaret Gibson, such as Anthony Walton and Margaret, married about 1685.
Still tracking down my 2nd great grandfather, Richard Gibson Brown, after 20 years of research. The earliest documentation I can find is his marriage to Rebecca MOORE 1844 Rock Island, IL. Genetically, his direct male ancestor was a SWEARINGEN, making this hunt even more complicated.
Glad to share more of the 'puzzle pieces' I've accumulated.
Thanks for any info you may have.
