The Voyage of the Immigrant ship Glenelg to the South Australian Colony in 1848/1849

Glenelg (1185 t ship 1816) arrived in SA 1849-02-13 from London, Captain Ballantyne. from the Family History SA: Shipping and Passenger Lists South Australia

The Glenelg, which was the largest passenger-ship that had ever been despatched for Australia, by this time was close on 1500 tons burden. She was described as a first-class East Indiaman, but even with her enormous size she only carried 150 passengers to the colony at this time.
