The death notice was sent to his father in Pettis County, MO. Laura E. Dorrance and Scott Mahin's son, Roy Emmette Mahin was born on 28 Aug 1895 in La Monte, Pettis County, Missouri, died on 27 Dec 1917, from disease during World War I in France, at age 22, and was brought home to Knob Noster Cemetery, Knob Noster, Johnson County, Missouri, for burial on 17 Oct 1920. His father had him brought home. He was buried next to his mother. []
