Grand Masters of the Grand Lodge of Colorado A. F. & A. M.

The goal of this project is to list all of the Past Grand Masters (PGMs) of the Grand Lodge of Colorado (Freemasonry), and show where they are buried. This project is also being done as a project of the Research Lodge of Colorado.

• John Milton Chivington (GM 1861): Apparently, when he was buried, it was originally in an unmarked grave. The Grand Lodge of Colorado discussed this in the Grand Lodge session of 1918 and agreed to fund and place a headstone for his grave.
• Ernest Le Neve Foster (GM 1890): "Le Neve" is not a middle name, but a part of his last name. His full last name is "Le Neve Foster". More of this family name is found in the UK.
• Need to verify: William L. Bush (GM 1894) is the younger brother-in-law of Cornelius Joseph Hart (GM 1877). Cornelius' wife is William's sister.
• George Edward Simonton (GM 1912) is the first Grand Master to be born in Colorado. But he was only born in Colorado Territory, before it became a State. The first Grand Master to be born in the State of Colorado is Kenneth Oakes Wood (GM 1935), born in Trinidad, Colorado in 1895.
