Jack Thomas House in Dec 2009

The Grayson County Historical Society[1] is headquartered by local volunteers inside the historic Jack Thomas House, which was built around 1811 in Leitchfield, Kentucky.[2]

The Historical Society maintains several historic buildings in Grayson County,[3] including the historic Simeon Buchanan Log Cabin, [4] which was relocated to Leitchfield from Falls of Rough. Contact information is available on their Web Site.[5]

The Historical Society keeps a small, non-lending library inside the Jack Thomas House. They have published several of their compilations into books, which may be viewed there and are also available for purchase.[6]

The Historical Society is staffed by volunteers from 10am to 4pm, Tuesday to Friday.[7]
