The cemetery comprises Anglican, Baptist, Catholic, Methodist (Uniting), Salvation Army and Presbyterian denominational portions. There is also a small Chinese portion. New Anglican (NAng) and Catholic (NRC) portions were introduced as the original areas filled up.
The cemetery includes a number of old headstones that were removed from an earlier cemetery in Marquis Street, as well as a small number removed from a small cemetery about to be submerged under the waters of the Keepit Dam, then under construction.
