Have added Gottlieb Schroeter in the belief that he is the "G. Schröder" mentioned in steerage passenger list at http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article158920824. This is separate to Schröder in the cabin. https://localwiki.org/adelaide-hills/Ship_Patel_%2818Sept1845%29 suggests this is correct.

Thanks Chris, I concur.

The newspaper report that lists the steerage passengers was a good find.

The reference to localwiki.org is also very useful. I haven't looked at local wiki before but I must compare the passenger lists with the ones I have been compiling under https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Prussian_Immigrant_Ships_to_South_Australia

Something to occupy myself if I get stuck in 14 days quarantine

I've just been creating Frank Potts' wife, Henrietta Fredericke Augusta (Wenzel) Potts (1831-1871), and despite the Wikipedia article suggesting the Wenzel family travelled on this (1845) voyage - it was actually the 1846 voyage - see http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article27454148. The localwiki.org page doesn't have them on this voyage either, so it's probably worth the time cross-checking.

The extra notes in the localwiki site are very useful. I'm looking at the Dreyer father and son in the cabin. The rest of their family migrated on Heloise in 1847.
