In the Parrish of Dailly 1632, there was a contractual relationship between John of Grimmett and John, Earl of Cassillis, Kennedy of Drommellane, Hew Kennedy of Girvinanmains, Thomas Kennedy of Ardmillan, Walter Kennedy of Knockdon, and Mr. John Chaldmer of Sauchrie to repair and maintain the "College of Kirk" of Maybole as a burial place for their respective families. This was the time of the persecutions. ^[1]
